La Pomodoro Technique - procrastinazione

TIME BLOCKING

-Isha K grade 11

Time-blocking involves assigning particular time periods of the day to do certain things. For example, I choose to use my 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm block to either study biology, complete my homework or do household chores. When you time-block, give two to three possible options of the activities you can do in the time period you have assigned yourself.

GROUNDING

Viha Goel 10B

TW: mentions of anxiety

Grounding is very simple and anyone can do it at any given time. When faced with extreme feelings of anxiety think about: 5 things you can see, 4 things you can feel, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell and 1 thing you can taste. This helps concentrate on your physical environment more to distract you from whatever you may be thinking/feeling.

POMODORO TECHNIQUE

Pavitra Nannapaneni 7F

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. This technique helps keep you refreshed after each short study session by taking breaks. First, you have to decide on your task, set a timer for 25 minutes, work for the duration of the time and take a 5 minutes break afterwards. After every 4 study sessions take a 15 to 30 minutes break. Follow this technique and guarantee yourself an A+ on your next test.

SCHEDULE

Anonymous

Try to make a schedule each day right before you sleep or right after you wake up.This helps you in knowing what you want to day for that day and try sticking to it.Stick it up somewhere where you are sure to see it

MENTAL HEALTH, STUDYING

Isha Kanigicherla 11B

In order to optimize your work and at the same time clear your head when you have too many worries, try meditating, especially guided meditation. When you are directed to do certain things, it becomes easier to let go and clear your head compared to when you try meditating on your own. Guided meditation helps create more space in your mind to store information when you study. Even if it's temporary, it can give you enough time to work more productively when you have to.

EXAM PREPERATION

Surya Karra 7E

Share your answers with others like parents, siblings and friends who have a rough knowledge about the topic. This way you can improve a lot like :

1.It enhances your speaking skills

2.You can get corrected if you go wrong somewhere

3.You might learn more knowledge (for eg:- I learnt about Roman Civilization, and my mom briefly explained about the Chinese Civilization when I was explaining her the Silk road.)

Edit by SC: Explaining what you have learnt is one of the best ways of ensuring your understanding of the concept.
